There has to be management over the food preparation what is being allowed to go on is completely out of line and unsafe for the unknowing general public. There is recording going out throughout the evening reminding people how important it is to support the snack bar. We got our drinks and walked back to our car. When the pizza came out the girl handed my husband 1 pizza box, he reminded the girl he had asked for 2 pizzas to be cooked, she gave him a clueless look, he just said never mind and went back to get the other pizza which was cold. When he saw me with my phone is put on gloves. The boy putting the hamburgers together wore no gloves handling cooked hamburger patties and loading the bun toaster with not hair covering or gloves. So while we were waiting I observed the girls eating out of the popcorn bin, I took out my phone and started filming. The counter girl asked for 1 pizza to be cooked, he heard the girl ask for 1 so he asked asked the girl again please cook 2 pizzas so they will both be hot. My husband ordered 2 pepperoni pizzas, these was one ready but we needed 2 so asked that 2 pepperoni pizzas be cooked since we had to wait 15 min. but there is no excuse for what I observed. I told my husband I bet they eat our of the popcorn bin with their hand in between costumers. He was telling me to be cool you know how these places are. One person came in from the parking lot with a broom and dust pan, went straight to the counter to help costumers and didn't stop to wash her hands. I told my husband this place needs a health inspection, There was a box of gloves on the center counter, but not one person wore them. No hair restraints or gloves being worn while preparing food. My husband and I looked over the menu, while my husband was looking over the menu I observed the staff. We found the snack bar already is full swing. The Galaxy drive in plays oldie music while you are waiting for the feature to begin. So I was really looking forward to my visit. There was a drive in Denton when I was a kid, and enjoyed going there with my family. The place is really a trip back in time for me. We read the reviews and decided to take the hour trip from Corinth. Tip: they don’t walk around or check cars. The only pro is that once the movie was finally started and we didn’t leave our car the experience was a lot of fun for my daughter. I’d rather pay more and go to the drive in located in Fort Worth. The concession building is dirty, looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in years and there was dead flies under the heat lamps. During this time we did try and get popcorn and waited in line for another 30 minutes… completely missing the start of the movie. Our movie started 30 minutes late, multiple people had to go to the concession stand to inform them to turn the screen on. Online they recommend you arrive early to get snacks… not to mention you’re not allowed to bring in food and drinks. After waiting in line for 30 minutes we get to the front and they haven’t even started cooking the popcorn. There was 3 kids working the concession stand and one looked 12 years old, they all seemed miserable. Hardly fits one average person so if you have kids and you’re alone it’s a nightmare. The bathroom is disgusting and NOT family friendly. Once we parked we headed to the bathrooms and concession stand. There was only one guy working the ticket line- so regardless if you pay online or at the gate you’ll wait in a long line. Family rooms are available.First and last time I’ll visit this drive in.
